Car description |

For sale is an original 1965 Comet Cyclone, 289cu.in. motor with 4 speed transmission. Car was purchased in late 2012. Motor was rebuilt keeping it as close to stock specifications as possible. Edelbrock manifold with a 650cfm Holley carburetor, Iskendarian 256 hydraulic cam and Hedman hearders. Compression is 9.5:1. Transmission was also rebuilt with new clutch, pressure plate, etc. Estimated 2,000 miles on engine/transmission. New aluminum radiator was installed with a pusher fan. Car does not overheat.
Brakes were replaced with new drums, brake lines and master cylinder.
Total bodywork was done, rechromed bumpers, new chrome trim, all new rubber for windows, trunk, hood, etc. Suspension work was done with new leaf springs, shocks and bushings. There is no rust.
New interior with bucket seats with same pattern as the original interior. New dash, headliner and carpets installed.
New tires with Crager SS wheels all around size 15x7 all around.
Manufacturer trim code on car is 63E M 6 19J 52 5 5. This states the car is a 2 door hardtop with bucket seats; exterior color is Polar White, Car was built in Los Angeles, California 3.50:1 rear end ratio with a manual 4 speed transmission, Model Year 1965 and an "A" code 289 cu.in. engine.
Sony radio installed with CD, flash drive and cell phone connection.
Car was built as a leisure driver and not to race. Although I believe the 289 motor is original, I have not had that confirmed. The mechanic who built the motor and the body shop that did the body work are available to confirm what was done.
Original black/yellow California license plates restored and on car. Clear title with DMV.
Car is kept covered and garaged 24/7.
Buyer is responsible for all shipping fees.
