1976 Mercury Comet

My father bought this car in 1999 from original owner (local). He put about 1500 miles on it before he parked it. The engine runs with starter fluid but won't stay running. It smells like bad gas and I suspect it is that reason along with a potential bad fuel pump that prevents it from running without the starter fluid. Car has been sitting a long time. Interior is in pretty nice shape. Car is being sold as-is, where is with no guarantees or warranties. I have some of the original paperwork like the original warranty ID card and window sticker. I inherited this car when my father passed away and have no use for it.
