I'm gonna be honest. I really don't want to sell this but I'm going to offer it one time because my "dream car" is currently available to me. This is a legitimate old California surf wagon. complete with vintage funky paint and tons of old surf stickers on the bumper and windows. It's a pretty darn rare car to start with and the nostalgia behind this one makes it irreplaceable to me if I sell it. The kind of history this car has isn't something I can buy anywhere else. It was partied in for over 30 years with the last signs being the funky green paint on the dash and the Grateful Dead bear stickers on the radio. The old 312 Y-block appears to have been hopped up at some point but it is not currently running. The engine is stuck but I see no visible damage. I haven't messed with it because it's project number two at my shop right now. It's still got the remnants of it's side exit exhaust and it's still packing maximum tires in the rear wheelhousings and it's Cragars from the 60's. It's got an "I HATE ARIZONA" sticker on the bumper so bear that in mind before you send it to your wife in Arizona. The body is REALLY solid. There is a rust hole in the passenger side outer rocker panel. and a couple of small spots in the floor pans but otherwise no holes anywhere. The paint is old. faded. and crazy and I was not toing to repaint it. I've had about 50 people stop and ask me about it just because of the paint. The glass is all good except for the flat front wing window that someone broke out and a cracked flat front side window. The impossible to find curved rear wagon glass. tailgate glass. and windshield are okay. There is nothing like it. Maybe that's good? :) But if you don't like attention. DO NOT BUY IT. The interior is all there. It is thrashed and reeks of stale marijuana but it's all there. It appears to have a third row pop up seat that faces the rear also. Yeah baby. The car wagon went from California to Minnesota and got stored in a barn for 30 years and I bought it from there. It was last driven in 1984. I bought the car with a bill of sale and have had a police inspection done that came back perfectlly clear. However. there is currently NO TITLE. You will get a bill of sale and a clear police VIN inspection. Minnesota didn't do titles until the late 60's. So let me try to talk you out of it real quick. non running wagon with funky paint and no title. Now let yourself talk you back in to it. . the coolest 57 merc you will EVER find with history you cannot replicate. Very rare car that is an absolute attention magnet. Do with that what you will. the Crosley dragster is obviously not included. I already sold it.
