here we have a 1968 mercury cyclone gt. this car is a very clean car being its been on the east coast most of its life. original color blue but was repainted maroon. its not the greatest paint job but could be buffed out to something halfway decent if you decide you like the color.it has rust free quarters fenders trunk hood and torque boxes. the doors have a little bondo in them and the front floors could use some small repairs. not total replacement just small areas. the 302 starts and runs well with no smoke or knocks but needs a carb rebuild the trans goes into gear fine but leaks from the pan after periods of sitting. I bought the car as its seen with dreams of restoring it to its original blue color but life has sent me in a different direction. this car has very solid bones to start. its a bucket seat console car power steering and power disk brakes. I have the keys and a nys transferable reg in my name. the car also comes with a set of original 14" gt wheels that are in the trunk. as far as I can tell after sorting the parts everything should be in the car. I have owned montegos and cyclones before and found it amazing to find one this solid here in nj. this car needs a full resto but to be honest a good paint job is really most of the battle. the dash pad is in great shape and it has nice bucket seats that aren't torn to shreds.
