Car description |
---|
Up for auction/sale is my VERY RARE 1969 DAN GURNEY Mercury Spoiler Cyclone II. These cars were used by Nascar in what is referred to as the aero car era from 1969-1970. 218 of these cars were produced with only 35 existing today. These are the rarest of all the aero cars. It has a Marti report and is listed in the Talladega/Spoiler registry for authenticity. I am the 3rd owner showing 55k miles, but can not confirm. The car runs, drives, and stops good. It has some minor rust in the quarter panels (about the size of a pencil ) and inside of doors.small area of previously repaired rust in floor board.previously repaired area around the gast tank in the trunk Nothing that will require panel replacements. I have driven the car on several 100 mile round trips with no problems.the front springs were heated up to lower the car and one does rattle some over bumps. Obviously this car is need of a complete restoration. It does need suspension work, minor body work, and minor interior work also. i bought this car exactly the way it is today haven't done nothing to it i do have a new stripe kit for it and good black dash pad that will go with the car.For complete details call David @ 423-367-6675. winning bidder must overnight a $1000.00 deposit and make immediate contact with me on pick up date and time. thanks!
