1950 mercury lead sled custom hot rod

this auction is for a 1950 custom Mercury. It was custom built by a popular old school customizer in Washington State and has a lot of custom options. It has a Three speed manual with a SBC 327 with dual AFB carbs. The body is totally custom with Frenched headlights, ail lights and antenna. In true tail dragger style the rear has been lowered a little than the front and gives a mean stance as it cruises down the street. you can see in the pic the custom Desoto grill up front and old school flame job that reminds everyone of the fifties. the battery is mounted in the truck to give a clean appearance under the hood where the engine is newer but looks older with custom valve covers and air cleaner. the motor has about 30000 miles on it and runs very smooth. the tires have lots of life on them as well. The interior is red/ maroon color some might call it a blood color and has no tears or stains. This Merc has been in Numerous Magazines and won best of shows to many times to remember and is a head turner everywhere it goes.
