Gorgeous, ery hard to find 1960 Mercury Comet. Everything is original. Low mileage (under 31,000) with clean engine. Starts and runs very well. Has been parked and covered most of its life. Body and frame are very solid. Exterior paint is original. Interior is an "olive" green. Interior is nearly flawless. No tears except a tiny pinpoint along the bottom of one seat. Interior is vinyl. 2 Speed Merc-O-Matic automatic transmission on the column with a straight six. Tires are original bias-ply. Muffler is starting to get loud. Engine is original in-line 6. Titles say it was sold in Northern Michigan but spent part of its life in California and then came back to Michigan. Have a stack of original registrations to help trace it's history. The spots on the paint you see in the picture are dirt, ot rust. We decided not to clean it up too much but to show as is after being in the shed for a while. Rocker panel has been painted a little. We think someone just painted it for prevention. There are some small spots of surface rust by corners of rocker panels. Pictures should show this clearly. Has been undercoated and has one spot of rust on frame under driver's side. Trunk lock was working but has been getting hard to unlock so it is off at the moment to be lubricated. Original floor mattings are crumbling as they've never been changed.
