"For 1969, he Monterey's wheelbase grew to 124inches ( with the exception of the station wagon which was on the 122inches Ford wheelbase - it was essentially a Ford wagon with a Mercury front clip and trim work. The redesigned Mercurys were intended to emulate the Lincoln Continental. The standard engine was the venerable 390 V-8 with the 429 as an option."

For sale by owner is this very nice, ostly original Monterey convertible. The odometer shows 58,000 miles and based upon our inspection we would agree, ut the car is sold as exempt because the owner has no documentation. It appears to be a very well maintained original car with one repaint a few years ago and a new convertible top installed this year. The engine is a 390 V-8 with a 3 speed automatic transmission and it has power disc brakes, ower steering, ower convertible top and factory air conditioning. It looks and runs terrific and is now ready for a new owner.
