MERCEDES 280SL 1969 rolling chassis and body project 113 Pagoda

MERCEDES 280SL 1969 Roadster This auction is for a rolling chassis with body panels - hood - bare doors - trunk lid - front and rear suspension - power steering box - chrome bumpers front and rear - headlights grille and a hardtop as shown . Those are the only items that are in the auction - basically what you see is what you get . this is a good builder chassis - chassis and floors - inside and trunk are solid and have already been cleaned up - insulation removed and treated with a German chassis hardening paint inside and under the car as well . Body was sanded down and treated with a German primer as shown - further work would be required before painting - Good car for a driver restoration - others will not mention or tell you that their cars have some filler here and there but this car does have some filler in the front and rear fenders in the typical areas - in fact some of those $150. 00 cars listed on ebay have filler in them ! I in fact have supplied parts for many of those $100. 00 280SL's on ebay ! We have owned over 130 Pagodas 230sl 250sl and 280sl'ssince 1992 - We shipped a complete 280sl in late 2013 to Germany and in early 2014 to Italy . Hardtop has good side latches - glass - etc - has rust on the bottom back corners - does not include front latches -If winning bidder does not want the top we will deduct $1000This car is also listed at HERITAGE MERCEDES as a complete car and we can supply all parts to rebuild it but we are in the parts business and I have 6 of these 113 Pagodas in stock that 5 of which will also be going up for sale in the next 6 months or so as we have time to deal with them .
