Selling my 1978 207D Mercedes van. Original paint and miles. Never sold on US market. this one was brought back from Germany by a soldier. Clear TX titleFrom 1977 when this model was introduced until 1995 when it was discontinued. this van was sold all over the world. except here in the states. Parts are easy to come by since the engine/drivetrain is basically mercedes 240 parts. oil filters and gaskets and most every part i've needed can be found at any auto parts store. I've only seen a few others in the United States. Inside was converted to an RV by a co. in germany when i got it. I've gutted it out and will include rv stove/space heater/fridge and bathroom unit if you have rv plans. 99. 9% rust freeengine has been well taken care of by local mercedes mechanic. timing has been adjusted regularly. head gasket replaced recently along with brake pads. new fuel filter assembly and new starter. same 4 cylinder diesel as in the 240 sedans. It gets 20-22 mpg mixed driving all day long. eats a little oil but not much. maybe a quart every 5 fillups or so. i love this van. letting it go because i'm juggling too many things at the moment. would like to find her a good home. It's got a full 6' standing room inside and would be a great food truck or camper project or work van. Sturdy steel frame to build/hang stuff from. Happy to help sort out shipping solution if you don't plan to come drive it away. I've had good experiences with u-ship. I bought it with just over 80K miles on it and i've put a lot of work bringing this back to everyday driving condition. Not had a single major issue with her. New front tires. back tire tread still good. Windshield replaced recently. Needs a blower motor. but mechanically everything else is solid.
