1977 Mercedes 450 SL. Roadster Convertible. Black. Exceptional Low Mileage.

Selling my 1977 Mercedes-Benz 450SL convertible. This car has been in my family for twenty years and we are the second owners. It is originally a California car with California title, however it is not currently tagged in CA. Tags are expired. Otherwise the title isclean. It has always been garaged and I have maintained it on schedule over the years. The car always starts right up and has neverleft me stranded anywhere; the car has never broken down under my ownership. A true Sunday driver, it has been driven on average 500miles per year for the past twenty years, verified by mileages statements. A summer only car, it has never seen a drop of rain!Engine and transmission are strong.

96,273 original miles. Starts right up and runs well. Just had a recent oil change and front end alignment. No major leaks or rust issues to speak of. Drives as it should for a 44 year old Mercedes.

No hard top. Soft Top is in brand new condition.

Interior is in fantastic shape for the age. NO RIPS OR TEARS in seats. Springs in great shape.

Known issues:

AC does not blow cold. Hasn’t been used since we’ve owned it.

Turn signal stalk doesn’t always “stick”, but all signals / lights works 100%.Can easily be held.

Cruise Control does not work.

Ceramic valve lifters do “chatter”, but this does not impact reliability or performance.

Black paint is notoriginal but looks incredible for age and being a re-spray. Photos do not do it justice, this car shines!
