The Mercedes two door versions of the 50's-70's are some of the most highly desirable vehicles in the car collection industry. With very few that remained in good condition and even fewer that made their way to North America leaves the supply and demand curve heavily favored to the seller. The 1970 Mercedes 250C is an iconic large vehicle that provided style and sophistication along with performance.
We are super stoked to bring to market this very classy and nicely preserved 250C for your consideration. The car was sold new out of San Jose California by the Smythe European House to Mrs. Bernice E VanVaren as a Christmas present by her husband. The car would remain in California until 2018 where it was moved to New York and kept and was partially restored. Vehicle is in very nice shape today with some great features and many items replaced or restored. Some of the recent items replaced, rebuilt or restored are; new headliner, factory correct paint, water pump, spark plugs and wires, battery, timing belt, fuel lines, oil filter and oil, Euro style headlights, fuel tank, rebuilt carbs, rebuilt alternator, wiper motor, wheels, many seals and moldings.
This car comes with lots of service records from the first and second owner as well as registrations that show the California ownership, owner's manuals, service manual, data card when punched new, and 2 keys and clean title. The car represents itself nicely and could easily be taken to an entire different level or driven and enjoyed the way it is. The Horizon Blue is great color and the chrome trim complement and enhances the vehicle from front to back.
These are just about extinct on the market and there will continue to be strong demand for this car in the future. Make yourself happy each day your make your drive and drive something fun and unique from the usual crowd followers.
