1983 Mercedes-Benz 280SE W126 EURO Spec Model – ONE Family Owned!!!!

In September 1979, the new-generation S-Class was unveiled at the Frankfurt Motor Show. While its predecessor still sported expansive chrome ornamentation, the 126 model series strode onto the automotive stage in a decidedly less ostentatious manner.

The body design underscored the engineers‘ efforts to significantly improve the car’s efficiency. Lower weight, improved drag, and fuel-efficient engines made it possible to reduce fuel consumption by up to 10% compared to the predecessor model. This Mercedes-Benz 280 SE is from the first series and is powered by the six-cylinder engine m110 with two overhead camshafts and a mechanical injection system. The engine is sporty in its characteristics and harmonizes perfectly with the 4-speed manual transmission.

The W126 S-Class was a champion in the luxury car market, dominating worldwide sales during its production run. As the most successful production S-Class in history, it has secured a place as one of the most well-remembered luxury vehicles – described by some as a "classic." Its twelve-year production run was longer than any S-Class before or since, and following the debut of the W140 S-Class in 1991, the additional two years of production in South Africa was a testament to the W126's popularity in the export market!!

Original Gray Velour interior is in very nice condition! Seats are nice and comfortable, and interior is complete down to its ORIGINAL and working Becker Mexico radio.
