Car description

Mercedes-Benz SL-Class . MERCEDES Classic 450SL 1973 Roadster Hard top/Soft top convertible. 113, 300 miles. Recently acquired and much work done. Still needs a couple of things. I have refurbished the air cleaner housing and the radiator overflow tank. Installed new air filter element, windshield washer, pump, jets, etc. Also new: Drivers side window switch, electric antenna switch, and new horn switch mounted on console and a new set of two-tone horns. New thermostat. New belts(2 out of 3) . Four New Falken 215/60/15 tires to fit 15” rims. A few new fuses installed, a supply in the glove box. New steel floor panels professionally installed on both driver’s and passenger’s sides. Rear bumper mounts rebuilt and reinstalled. It is in over all good condition. The paint was redone recently and is in excellent shape! (underside of hood needs to be cleaned up). The chrome is all mostly good with a few scratches. The interior is ok. The seats, carpeting, and upholstery are good, the head rests could use a little work. The dash looks good, most gauges function. I have no idea if all the other controls work the way they’re supposed to because I can’t figure them all out! I replaced the thermostat but still had an overheating issue. I was getting ready to remove and service the radiator when my back gave out, preventing any further work. The water pump checks out fine. A good dip and flush will take care of it. It(the radiator) is in basically very good condition...no leaks, punctures, etc. I bought a set of the special hard top removal tools but have never removed the top...too heavy for me too handle alone...so I cannot guarantee the condition of the soft top (a new soft top is about 300 bucks). Some things that could be done...needs One of two ballast resistors ( Blue one is New), plug wires should be replaced (plugs are good), wire connector for cold air sensor on intake, rubber trunk mat, and it needs a tune up. Runs good but timing is off(I think...my 1st Mercedes so not real sure). Will include storage stand for hard top, Motor Trend High end Cover, and two service manuals...Haynes and a CD manual (Very Extensive!) Additional info or questions email jshobbs413@gmail.com . Thanks.
