I bought the 1961 190sl in 1986. It had 89,000 miles on it, but, after I replaced the speedometer, the speedometer shows 59,958 miles. I drove the car for 10 years after a complete paint job, and new leather interior. This car has been in a dry garage since I purchased it in 1986. All chrome has been done at Mars Custom Plating in Mars, PA. In 2015, this 190sl has undergone a complete engine overhaul, or rebuild. Which includes all new rings, bearings, valves, guides, seals, and gaskets. Complete carb rebuild, new clutch and pressure plate, ring gear and flywheel, all breaks including cylinders, shoes, and lines have been renewed. All new wood in soft top with new German canvas. Also, new German carpet. There are blemishes in the paint as you might expect in a 30 year paint job, however very bright and shiny. Undercarriage is solid and clean. I have tried to give an accurate description of his car and it in no way concourse rated vehicle. Good driver and a lot of fun. Priced for a quick sale. Questions feel free to ask. Don.
