Car description |
---|
1984 Mercedes-Benz 380SL finished with a Diamond Silver exterior and Blue interior. Driven 116,127 careful miles since new. Options on this 380SL include both hard and soft tops, Bundt wheels, original Becker radio and much more.
This 380SL just underwent a complete oil and fluid service within the last 20 miles and it drives even better than it looks. The 8 cylinder engine is strong and powerful and the automatic transmission shifts properly through all of the gears. The steering is tight and precise and the brakes feel just great. All of the electronics are working as they should be. This really is a very nice 380SL to drive.
The interior is very nice considering the age of the vehicle. The Blue seats are in good condition (see pictures) showing typical wear and imperfections to the seats. The dashboard is very nice and even the carpets look great thanks to the floor mats that have been protecting them.
The exterior is what really sets this particular 380SL apart from the rest. The Diamond Silver (Silver Blue) paint is in nice condition (see pictures) with no major dents or dings anywhere at all. The paint looks great as does the chrome and brightwork. Even the original Bundt wheels are in excellent condition and are mounted on great tires.
This 1984 380SL while not perfect would make an excellent summer convertible or local show car. It has both the hard and soft tops for all weather conditions along with all of Mercedes-Benz legendary safety, craftsmanship and reliability. There are some "apologies" to this 380SL that I would like to mention. The hood does have some fading (see pictures) and the seats are showing wear (see pictures) which is to be expected. Please feel free to call me (Matt 516-658-4048) with any additional questions you may have.
