The 107-series SLC launched at the Paris motor show in October 1971, several months after the SL. Both cars are identical up to the door’s rear edge, with the SLC’s wheelbase extended 360mm to make room for additional rear seat space. The fixed roof coupe also features distinctive window slats forward of its C-pillars, and shares all the SL’s safety devices except the roadster’s pop up rollover bar.

The four-seat SLC was manufactured at Mercedes’ Sindelfingen factory until September 1981, and was succeeded by the 126-series S-Class based SEC, a facelift in 1980 updating the interior, steering wheel and mechanicals, and replacing the three-speed auto with a four-speed.

About the car:

This SLC was garaged and very sporadically used over the past few years. It runs and drives good and right before we acquired it its previous owner had the brakes refreshed, including the master cylinder, and rear brake calipers, pads and rotors. Engine starts right up, and transmission shifts as it should.

It’s elegant Anthracite grey metallicpaint (paint code #172G – anthrazitgrau) has a very nice shine and luster, and it truly makes this German Coupe look timeless!!

Chrome is in great condition, complete with healthy luster, and this beautiful SLC is a head turner and conversation piece everywhere it goes.

Undercarriage is all original, unmolested, and free of any kind of undercoatings except the factory one!

Factory VIN # stamping on the front radiator support is another sign of originality of this car. (Please see pictures)

Even the windshield is its ORIGINAL Mercedes-Benz Kinonglas-Kristall Windshield!!

Its black leather interior is all complete, but front and rear seats need to be reupholstered due to their age.

This Mercedes comes with power windows, and they are working as they should!
