1972 Mercedes-Benz 250/8This Mercedes-Benz W114 was the mid-sized saloon model for Mercedes, positioned below the S-Class.The car was designed by French auto designer Paul Bracq who was chief designer at Mercedes-Benz for many years.This model offered with the 6 inline motor was only available the first 5 months of 1972.After that only the W115 4 cylinder model was offered in USA. The W114/W115 models were the first post-war Mercedes-Benz production car to use a newly engineered chassis, not derived from preceding models.The new chassis format of semi-trailing rear arms and ball-joint front end was first displayed in the W114/W115 chassis would be used in all new Mercedes passenger car models until the 1980s.OUR VEHICLEThis Benz has had only 2 owners its entire service life. Until 1987 it served as a daily driver and from then on only driven occasionally on weekends and always garaged. AMAZING MOSTLY ORIGINAL CONDITION The MOSTLY ORIGINAL EXTERIOR paint retains a nice gloss finish and is complimented by shinny US spec bumpers with rubber center inserts all in very good condition. All stainless and chrome trim for roof,body side molding,dual outside mirrors and headlight bezels all look great.Original hubcaps are rash free with color matching centers.The ORIGINAL INTERIOR is excellent with the dash very fine having no cracks or wear showing. The door panels and center console padded armrest is also in very good shape.All dash gauges including Temp/Oil/Gas and speedometer are all very clear.The wood trim on dash is solid showing only some age.Headliner is clear and no sag.
