1980 Mercedes 450 SL Convertible, V8 NO RESERVE

Please Allow to Load and Scroll Down to View Over 100 Pics and Video in Listing.....Texas 1980 Mercedes 450 SL 55K Miles...both topsNO RESERVE AUCTION...Last High Bid WinsPLEASE READ COMPLETE DISCRIPTION:Here is a local 1980 450 SL that we found from a family were their father owned the car and it had been in his garage since it was last registered in 1999, here in Texas. I honestly don't know to much about these cars but it was a great solid local car only showing 55K miles on the Odometer and looked to be nicely maintained. What I do know about the car: We did put new tires on the car as the originals where just too old. The car fires up great and drives great. We charged the AC system and it blows cold and is holding Freon good; but I did notice that the AC only works when the switch is on defrost mode....I push the other switches and it just stops blowing; Zero idea why. The body on the car and paint shows great, only one small hair line scratch in the paint as I took a picture of it. The soft top had bee down for at least 20 years and over all would of been great but has two cuts in the top on each side as you can see in the pics; I noticed when I dropped the top back down it appears the tops frame caused the cuts. I did drive this car about 30 miles on the hwy, in town and at lights waiting...she drives smooth and comfortable. This is not a car I planed on keeping just a great local find that someone could maybe do some work to and make her a daily driver again and a little investment.
