Car description

For your consideration a decent and rare....low mileage! 1959 Mercedes Benz 219 gas motor PONTON sedan. Pretty much all original condition...this survivor vehicle is in restorable condition. Car has the rare Webasto sliding ragtop sunroofOne of the rear trailing arm mounts has broken loose of the sub frame ....while I was under the car I Did not notice any major damage, the floor pans are good there is one small other rusted area on the chassis but not in a critical spot. In my opinion this car is still very restorable! I will try to take some underside pictures to show the worst of the damage. overall the floors are not rotted to the point that you can see through them it is all just surface rust under there ....should be fairly reasonably repairable
Only 15000 miles on odometer, seats and interior overall appeared to be in that good condition. The dashboard looks great. It appears that all of the glass and trim both inside and out is in decent condition. I do not see anything major missing although I am not an expert on these cars.
This car could very well have a true 15,000 miles on it ......under the valve cover its very clean there's absolutely no sludge or dirt. The interior has the original floor mats the seats are not ripped dashboard is almost perfect nothing has been worn out
unfortunately the six cylinder engine had the valve cover removed. looks as though somebody was attempting to make some repairs as the valve cover is not tightened down and the manifolds are off carburetors are missing..... there may be other parts missing off the engine although I did find various things in the trunk. The manual transmission goes into gear fine, brakes will need renovation. Car steers and rolls freely
Here is your chance to restore a beautiful Mercedes 219 Ponton sedan. No collision damage is evident, none of the body panels are badly dented. This car has the best chassis out of all of the Mercedes Pontons that I am selling .it is probably also the most desirable model Of the three..... this would make an excellent restoration candidate or at worst, a great parts car.Clear New York title, sold as is no warranty expressed or implied. please message me with questions and for more pictures and information don't miss out on this appreciating collectible Mercedes! thanks
I do have a friend in the shipping business to help out with transportation.
Please take a look at my other auctions ....I have two other Mercedes sedan's listed thanks
