Up for sale 1968 Mercedes-Benz 280SL Convertible Pagoda. I'm the second owner on a very well preserved SL. Purchased brand new in 1968 as a European delivery with photographs of the father and daughter taking delivery at the Mercedes-Benz factory in Sindelfingin near Stuttgart. This California and after Pennsylvania car has enjoyed an easy life having been properly stored and maintained . Factory options include Automatic Transmission, Power Steering, Becker Europa AM-FM radio, Automatic Antenna, Chrome Roof Ornaments, Tinted Glass, Limited Slip Differential and most rare of all, the Ski Rack.
Starts, runs and drives beautifully with plenty of power. Recent brake work, new fluids and tuneup. Starts effortlessly and performs well. Still has it's original, numbers matching engine which runs smoothly and cool.
Interior magnificently preserved from the wood, chrome, panels, rugs and seating.
Exterior straight and clean. Car was originally 050 White, 1st owner repainted several years ago in a metallic white. Car was properly disassembled at the time and included door jambs and underside of hood and trunk lid. No over-spray is present.
