Beautiful red on black Mercedes 380SL convertible that was tastefully upgraded with 560SL chrome wheels and a 560sl rear emblem. Very cool black on red 2 tone interior is in impeccable condition. Previously owned by a non-smoker adult and no sign of pets/kids inside. Drives great and tested at highway speeds. A true pleasure to drive with straight alignment, cold A/C, and a quiet idling engine. Notice the seats, carpet, top and all other interior components are EXCEPTIONALLY clean and clear this car was much loved for. According to an Autocheck report this is a 1 owner vehicle! So technically, I'm the 2nd owner. Purchased recently from the family who traded the car in.
AS the pictures show, the body and paint are in EXCELLENT condition! The paint shines deep and glossy red and there is no question the car was detailed and waxed often. I have alot of experience with cars and truly believe the paint is original. NO evidence of any type of paintwork. Also, smooth and shiny gloss without any major imperfections to mention. Interior is also very clean and smells fresh with that unmistakable Mercedes vintage scent that we love. As seen in the pictures, both the front and rear steel bumpers have a few imperfections.. mainly small knicks and dings.
As far as service history.... the car comes with a huge stack of receipts which date all the way back to 1981. All services appear to be up to date including tires/brakes and all fluids. The only work I did to the car was replace a slowly operating driver's window with a new regulator and motor, and fix a small leak in the power steering pump. As it stands, this car is ready for any trip any time.
