1977 Mercedes-Benz - 300D - 140k runs, off road and stored inside

Taken off the road and parked inside years ago. This is what I can tell you about it, it starts and runs and moves and stop on it's own, BUT BEING SOLD AS IS FOR PARTS OR RESTORATION, NO GUARANTEES OF ANY KIND. I have not driven it out on the road, so I know nothing about the transmission condition. Hood emblem missing, some cracked plastic on the grill. Has a stiff wire coming out of the grill for the hood release. The only way that I know how to shut it off is to manually press a lever underneath the hood marked stop to stop the motor from running, maybe I am missing something mounted inside that shuts it off, but I just want to point out that is how I have to shut it off.
