Car description |
---|
This is one for the true classic car fan out there. This is a 1989 Mercedes Benz 560SL convertible. This was the last year of the 107 body. It is dark gray metallic in color with black leather interior and the woodgrain trim. It only has 56, 526 original miles present. This has the 5.6 liter V8 engine and automatic transmission. It has a few very minor signs of wear on both the exterior as well as the interior. For a car this age, it is in exceptional shape. It has been garage kept and covered since it was purchased in 04/03/2015. The mileage when purchased in 2015 was 55,866. The options are as follows; original Becker radio with cassette player, power windows and locks, power antenna, fog lights and manual mirrors and seats. Also included is the original tire kit, OEM floor mats, Owners manual with dealership stamps for the services done up until 43,000 miles, full size Pirelli spare tire. However, I do not have the First Aid Kit. It does come with the removable hard top as well. The headliner of the hard top does have some minor staining present, but it should come clean with a detail. The window tint on the hard top glass is slightly faded as well. The soft top appears to be original and the soft glass is clear. The tires are Good Year Assurance 205 65 R15s and they have plenty of tread left. There is NO rust present anywhere on this vehicle.
I do have a copy of the Carfax report which only shows one issue with this vehicle. It was involved in an accident on 01/09/2011. The RT rear quarter panel required replacement. When they repainted this panel, they also resprayed the clear coat to make sure it was a perfect match in the quality of the finish.
The vehicle was serviced on 10/26/2018 and received a brake flush, oil change, replaced the transmission shift linkage bushings and the A/C was recharged with R134. Other than that, this vehicle required no additional services. It received a full mechanical inspection. The local Mercedes Benz service center this vehicle was taken care of by stated that this was one of the cleanest they have ever seen. They placed it in their top 5. And they have been in business for a while!
