The body on the car is in excellent condition and is straight as an arrow. The car never saw any collision or rust damage and was protected with garage for more than thirty six years. The paint is fresh and is finished in its gorgeous original Mercedes color of Horizon Blue and was just beautifully redone in last 2 years.This is an ultra rare 1 year only color for the 107 SL and was carried over from the previous generation 280sl Pagoda. This car was produced in december of 1971. The car is riding original Mercedes 14" steel wheels/hubcaps and has brand new tires! All chrome trim, glass, and rubber seals are in great shape. The soft top is like new and in excellent condition, and has almost never been up. The hard top has good seals and the headliner is in awesome shape.

The interior is in great shape all around. The original two-tone parchment and light beige seats are all in very excellent original condition and look very nice with no rips or wear lines, which shows the quality of material used in this car. The dash, door panels, and console are all in excellent shape. The original carpets are all very nice are not worn or damaged. The sound system is also very nice with the upgraded Pioneer CD player and rear removable Pioneer speaker enclosure. Music is crisp and clear. The sound system definitely adds to the driving experience of this roadster. All lights, gauges switches, and accessories work as they should.

Mechanically, this SL runs GREAT! The car starts right up and shifts smooth as silk. The car has had thousand dollars spent on service in recent maintenance. I have all records for your viewing. It's all ready to hit the road with the top down! This vehicle has all service documented since day 1972 through 2019. Original Mercedes service booklet shows all services being completed by original owner at Mercedes Only service facilities through 101k. When second owner bought the car around 2003, she used another specialized Mercedes service facility for all services. Receipts include new timing chain and valve stem seals, radiator, water pump, alternator, starter, ignition, Bilstein shocks, front end bushings, power steering pump, master cylinder and booster, heater control valve, door lock and trunk lock vacuum updated, replaced center steering link, replaced steering stabilizer, replaced left and right engine mounts, replaced needed transmission mount and much more. This car has had just about everything replaced as you would expect a well maintained car of this mileage.
