Introduced in 1984, the W124 was Mercedes Benz's all new midsize model that replaced the much loved W123. Featuring all new aerodynamic styling by the renowned Bruno Sacco, the new model offered the latest and greatest in safety, technology, and handling. Featuring the new five link rear suspension that is still in use today, the W124 even had one of the lowest levels of drag by a passenger car. Available with tons of engine and transmission options, the W124 was... available as a sedan, coupe, wagon, and convertible. Known as the C124, the sleek new coupe rode on shortened wheelbase and featured distinctive "pillarless" side profile that harkened back to the great pre war Mercedes automobiles.
