Excellent, well-maintained, low-mileage, rust-free 560SEC.Clean title, no accidents.I'm the 2nd owner, but 1st owner also garaged in Seattle/Bellevue area; never midwest or east coast.
An outstanding, last-year-production example of this legendary coupe in a stunning color combination. I have detailed service and maintenance records during my ownership from 2012 showing all the usual wear-and-tear service items (e.g. fluid changes/flushes, gaskets, belts, mounts, flex disc, brakes, etc.)
In addition, here are some more recent service highlights:
The car is in excellent mechanical and visual condition. However, here are a list of the minor blemishes:
This is a wonderful car and a joy to drive, especially when eating up long distances. The build quality, solidity, power and gravity on the road feel unmatched by contemporary luxury cars.
I'm happy to provide more photos or answer other questions -- please let me know. Thank you!
- Timing chain service was done summer 2018, so timing chain guidrails & oiler tube clips that lubricate camshaft are new. The M117 engine can go forever, but those plastic parts become brittle with age, and this is one of the important preventative maintenance items to ensure long engine life.
- New MB radiator installed <2 yrs, <3k miles ago.
- Original Becker head unit, rear amps, and front/rear speakers were serviced by Becker Autosound of NJ within last 18 months.
- All motors working perfectly for seat-belt presenters, rear sunshade, sunroof, power windows, etc.
- Rear window and seal were replaced about 6 years ago with MB OEM parts, so no rear window de-lamination (which can be an expensive problem)
- Headliner is new and was replaced 2 years ago after sagging
- Tires have <6k miles on them
- Thorough, recent exterior/interior detail. Carpets, leather, dash, wood trim are in amazing condition. No rips, tears, cracks, cloudiness, sagging, or worn spots.
The car is in excellent mechanical and visual condition. However, here are a list of the minor blemishes:
- The chrome on the rear, driver's side wheel is peeling (can provide photo). Very difficult to re-chrome in WA State due to environmental laws. Depending on where buyer is, re-chroming is a good option in some states, or alternatively, refurbished aluminum wheels in same spoke pattern are available for $150 per.
- Small, typical <<1" scratches and chips on bumper (can provide photo).
- A small ~2"x2" area on the hood has the beginning of cloudiness in the clearcoat (can provide photo). Other than this hood spot, paint and brightwork are excellent on rest of vehicle.
- R12 Freon was recharged approx. 4 years ago, but could use another recharge. No leaks in the system and works fine, but could blow colder with a recharge. Local shops quote ~$300 for 2-3 lbs. of R12 recharge
- The 3rd rear brake light above hat/parcel tray is not the original ivory/palomino color. I replaced with a MB OEM black replacement. I still have and will include the original ivory brakelight, but it's notably faded and has cracked plastic. I prefer the black because I think it better matches the black rear sunshade tube and hardware.
This is a wonderful car and a joy to drive, especially when eating up long distances. The build quality, solidity, power and gravity on the road feel unmatched by contemporary luxury cars.
