Description

This is a W108 1972 Mercedes 280 SEL. It is mechanically very sound and is almost totally rust free. I bought this from the original owner in 2011.I have always kept it Pennsylvania inspected and well maintained.Through the years it has had new radiator, fuel pump, water pump, brake calipers and rotors. Full tune up with new hoses and belts. Some suspension work, transmission seal and drive shaft couplers and more that I can't think of at the moment. It has recent tires with under 5,000 miles on them. I have driven it approximately20,000 miles since owned including some fairly long trips. It had minor repair work to left trunk well which is the only evidence of any rust. The floor and trunk pans are perfect as well as fenders and rockers. New heater levers have been installed but are not connected. There is a frozen heater cable which have not been able to free up. The leather interior is comfortable seating but is becoming worn with splits and a couple of ripped patches. The dash has one crack. Headliner is perfect and originalcarpets are nice. The car was repainted original dark green before I got it. It still shines nicely but is showing age and has some chips. There is a small golf ball sized dent in left front fender as well as a scratch above rear right side marker. This iscapable 130 mph andone of the last of the hand built Mercedes of which only 8,173 were built. Please call for more details or view this car in person if you are able.Thank you,Stephen Schmitt215 240 0826
