This gorgeous gold Mercedes came into my family as a gray market car from Germany. My father bought it back in 1982 with the help of his brother-in-law who worked in the import business and had connections with gray market car dealers in Europe.
This car has many good childhood memories of driving to fancy dinners, weddings and black tie charity events. I will never forget the golden gleam of the hood when Mom pulled into the parking lot to pick me and my sister up from school.Years later, she let me drive it to prom and high school graduation.
Now it is time for a new owner to enjoy this car. This car was in Southern California until recently so there is no rust and the body is in good condition with the original leather interior. Some parts, such as filters and tires, need replacing or repair and the odometer is broken. It reads 172,144 miles. The car handles well and drives smoothly.It really is a sweet ride.
