Car description |
---|
This beautiful well-cared-for classic Mercedes 380sl was my daily driver for over a decade. Now it is time for someone else to enjoy.
It has had a ton of work, including the following:
This is a fun second car, sunny day car, but it is no longer practical to use as an every day driver so I'm letting it go to work on other projects.
Car is in running condition but it has been parked for the winter. There are a couple of minorvacuum leaks that need repaired, and the A/C compressorneeds to be replaced. I didn't replace the compressor because old Mercedes' A/C never worked well anyways and I only drove it with the top down on sunny days for the last few years. But the compessor is in the trunk to swap or rebuild.
Total mileage is unknown, but less than 20K on a rebuilt motor (with the double timing chain fix.)
It has had a ton of work, including the following:
- Less than 20K miles on professionally rebuilt motor.
- all suspension, brakes, steering components, bushings and subframes replaced.
- Professionally repainted a three years ago.
- Convertible top replaced and in good shape.
