1987 Mercedes 420SEL 54k documented Original miles, all original, new condition

Originally from southern CA, been in Maine 10yrs, stored in garage until owner passed away, He brought it east at retirement and it was stored in heated garage and sparingly used during summer months until his passing. It was his baby!I bought it from the estate and went through the entire fuel system ( new fuel pumps, filter, regulator, hoses,flushed entire injector system and fuel tank), brake system (new rotors, pads, hoses, and calipers), full service with only the best and correct Mobil 1 synthetic fluids, Transmission service with new filter and Mobil 1 synthetic ATF. Differential service with Mobil1 fluid.Cooling system flush and power steering flush, all fluids coming out looked as good as the new fluids going in, amazing....everything about this is original and as new. I have driven for about 1k miles and the shifting, braking and handling are as new. It drives like a 50k mile car should, it is well sorted and I have driven about 600 miles during the shakedown. Interior is flawless and the leather is supple. The headliner is perfect. The chrome is flawless without and pitting or loss of shine, Becker Sound system is original and functioning. absolutely zero rust, new cat back exhaust. The wheels are factory chrome with only minor pitting on edge, the shine bright and look great at 3 feet. The paint is original and has shows well. slight hazing in a few spots, butit has not had a buff only a wax. both bumpers have small nicks.Runs drives and shifts flawlessly would drive cross country tomorrow. Mileage is documented through Carfax and service records.

Some photos show tinted windows, which has since been removed, it did most likely help preserve the leather against UV through the years. W126 Mercedes are getting stronger and stronger on the market, this is one of the last years they were handcraftedby Mercedes in Stuttgart, these are reliable daily drivers but for me the mileage is too low to use daily, most have a 100k more than this. This cost over $60k new and was the car to own in the eighties. An oil change tag on door shows in 2003 this only had 30k miles when it has an oil change in Encino, CA. So all its life it was used sparingly. Dealer records and Carfax proves provenance. great investment today and plenty of thrills driving and space for a weekend ice cream cruise with the family.

The interior color is Black, the factory toolkit, bag and jack are complete and original, the spare is brand new and the wheel for the spare is full size, painted and flawless. service book has CA delaer records up to 35k miles. AC and heater functional correctly.
The flex discs and motor mounts are 54k original and free from cracks or wear, they have been inspected and are fully serviceable. The struts are functionally correctly as they should at 50k miles, they show no signs of leaks and produce a factory fresh ride. The body is rust and accident free and has never had any repairs.
