Car description |

1989 Mercedes-Benz 560SEL (S-Class) Sedan.
Vehicle has virtually zero rust (see photos). This car was originally owned by an estate in Greenwich, Connecticut up until 2000. Vehicle then spent some time in Massachusetts before going to the mid-west where it spent several years in Montana. I have since brought the vehicle back to Connecticut. I had hopes of restoring it because it was a top candidate for restoration, but under certain circumstances, I must sell.
The car is maroon with palomino leather. This is a very rare color for the S-Class especially the W126 chassis. This vehicle has almost zero rust. There are a few very, very small (dime sized) bubbles starting in the typical spot on along the door molding and a spot on the lower front fender where it meets the bumper (these are usual spots for the w126).
The vehicle has all the options! Power front & rear seats, heated front & rear seats and rear seat foot rests (usually missing out of these vehicles). Large power sunroof, power tilt steering wheel, power passenger side mirror, and power retractable antenna. All power functions are working on the vehicle.
The car has several pages of documented maintenance that will be passed along to the next buyer. The car does need an alignment, however it is very tight. The car also runs a little loud, I suspect a muffler leak somewhere, but it is not overly loud, just has a louder hum than others I've owned.
The following work has been done to the vehicle and I have the documentation:Tires (4) & AlignmentTie Rod ReplacementDone: 10/28/14 $414.87 Mileage 151,180
Air Filters ReplacedRear BrakesPower Steering Res & Gear box replaced/maintenanceDone 1/30/15 $770.00 Mileage: 152,730
Power Steering Pump & BoxFront Brake ServiceSpark PlugsTransmission Fluide ChangeAC Belt ReplacedPS/WP Belt ReplacedAlternator Belt ReplacedPower Steering Pump ReplacedPower Steering FluidFuel Pump Seal ReplacedValve Cover Gaskets ReplacedDone 2/13/15 $1,354.71 Mileage: 152,788
I am unaware if the previous owner did any other maintenance besides what I have receipts for. Overall, the vehicle is in very nice condition for the age. There is some fading in the paint that I was able to shine up with compounding, and there are some clear coat peeling spots (typical with the w126).
If you'd like to come take a look at it, or would like any additional photos of the vehicle, please reach out prior to making a bid. The vehicle is located in Fairfield County, Connecticut. Keep in mind this vehicle is a 29 year old car, it has scratches and normal wear and tear expected with age; however, I believe it's in above average condition with almost no rust except the little bubbles in paint starting. Vehicle has been garage kept since I've had it.
$1500 Deposit due within 24 hours of auction end. I will be flexible with the picking up of vehicle, but I will not ship. Shipping/Local Pick Up is buyers responsibility. Clear title and bill of sale. Please message with questions prior to bidding.
