Car description

1973 Mercedes Benz 280 SEL 4.5 Sedan Yellow with a Tabacco Colored interior 53,000 miles. This is a very nice driving exampleof a Vintage Mercedes Benz Sedan.I have receipts for the following work done April 17,at mileage 51,104, New Tires, Replace Fuel Pump,Fuel Filter,Front Shocks, Rear Shocks, exhaust gaskets, shift bushings,2 King Pins,Thermostat,Air Shock Kit, Fan Switch, Evap Temp Sensor, Front Springs,Rubbers,Rear Mount. Tighten Kit, Rear Srings,Steering. The bill was $3,4432.44, There are also receipts for Drive shaft bearings, transmison control rod bushing. There is also a receipt 6 Piece door wood trim. There is another receipt from a Mercedes Benz dealer at mileage 49,940 where they replaced spark plug wires, distributor cap and the steering gear was replaced as well. The car shows well with good chrome and nice paint. There are two areas of bubbles behind the front wheels, but those areas are totally solid. There is also a paint touch up on the passenger side front fender where the paint was touched up and you can clearly see it. The passenger side rear door also has a touch up area. The bottom of the car has some small areas of surface rust but it is all solid, except for one very small hole on the driver rear trunk area(there is a photo showing it). The interior shows very well with nice seats and very nice wood, the carpets show well also. The headliner has some holes in it. In spite of what I have listed the car shows very well with good nice paint and a very nice interior. The car runs well and feels solid and good on the road. It takes about 2 minutes to warm up but once warm the car feels wonderful to drive. This is a very good driving example of this model Mercedes made back when they really made cars that were solid and super durable.

Car is located about 75 miles north of New York City in the northwestern corner of Connecticut, if you have questions you can reach me thru ebay or call 203-770-8062.
