Car description |
---|
1968 MERCEDES BENZ 280SE CABRIOLET / CONVERTIBLE. Car has been with the family since last 32 years. Hardly driven as there are other classic and newer cars in the family that are driven on daily basis. Had two 111 body style cabriolet in the family. Second 111 Cabriolet is on it's way to Moscow Russia.
Last picture of the car in camel interior is the one that is going to Moscow. But I have the upholstery shop willing to install the same interior in the 68 Cabriolet, if the buyer want it but it would cost additional $6,000 at a discount price due to the fact that the upholstery shop does our other classic cars upholsteries as well and gives us very good discount. Normally the leather interior would cost around $10 to 12,000.
In the price listed, shipping to Europe is included as we have sent several cars to Germany, France, Holland, Switzerland, Denmark, Russia, UK and other countries including Japan, China, India and Kuwait. Our collection of over 60 classic cars is now reduced to 12 cars which we are selling due to the fact that we are moving to Europe to live and selling most of our car collection before moving to Europe.
We can have this car's interior done exactly in the same color and style as shown in the picture. This car has the original brown interior but can be done in camel. Car is in excellent running condition and is in the paint shop for minor scratches to be removed and buffed out. Brown interior of the car is upgraded to 1971 seat styles but can be redone in original style without the head rests!
Engine runs superb without any problems at all. Transmission shifts smoothly. Car starts immediately in cold or hot weather. I used the car up in California snow mountains and it starts right away just like it does in hot weather below.
I have sold the same car, a 1968 280SE cabriolet ( in the picture) with camel leather interior for $160,000 to a Russian buyer. This car will sell real fast as the dealers have offered me to buy this car for their European and American buyers. I will sell this car to the first buyer who is willing to pay $150,000 with FREE shipping to Europe.
I have other classic Mercedes cars in my collections that I will list individually one at a time. I also have a 1964 Rolls Royce drophead Left hand drive that I will be selling if it does not sell to one of the music legend in California with whom I'm negotiating right now.
Feel free to ask any questions. I am willing to have this car taken to any local Mercedes specialist for a full inspection and road test. Normally for such evaluation testing Mercedes service center charge between $125 to $200. If this car is not what is stated and shown here, I will refund the full amount without questions.
As legally required, I must declare that the Car will be sold on AS IS and WHERE IS basis without any expressed or implied warranties, guarantees or any kind of assurances whatsoever.
All European buyers must pay a deposit within the 24 hours of end of the eBay auction of $1,000 non-refundable. International buyers can discuss how to pay the remaining amount of the balance.
If there is any specific issue or concern that the buyers may have, please feel free to ask and raise your concerns immediately. I am willing to take any specific photographs of any part of the car for further clarifications before the buyers start to bid. This car is also being offer for sale by a London UK based classic car dealer for 175,000 Euros.
My customs broker who handles my cars is willing to undertake the full exports of this car for the buyer with whom you can directly negotiate his custom brokerage fee. Or if you wish, I can arrange the entire package including the shipping cost that I will pay plus the custom broker's fee.
Please feel free to ask any questions before the bidding.Good luck!
