Car description |
---|
1983 Mercedes-Benz 300SD. Turbo Diesel 5 cylinder engine. Automatic Transmission. W126 Chassis. Runs and drives. 200k miles.
Battery needs replaced, but will start right up with a jump or a fresh one. Climate control system needs work. The air conditioner was working, although I haven't checked it this year. The issue is somewhere in the duct work, where it diverts all the air through the defrost vents. Drivers seat droops just a bit in the outside edge of the seat bottom, which is common on these cars. MB Tex interior is in quite nice shape, especially for it's age. One rear window sticks a bit, but it does go up and down. The others work fine. Drive shaft has a vibration at higher speeds. One fair size dent on the right rear. Had some mild rust repaired near the tail lights and on the passenger door. Overall pretty clean though.
Since I have owned it the following parts were replaced. All suspension bushings, ball joints, control arms, rear springs, transmission at 170K, combination switch on the column, power seat switch, front and rear brake pads, rotors, washable diesel pre-filter, electronic booster fuel pump, Drive shaft bushings, Water pump, fuel injectors rebuilt, euro-spec headlights, HID bulbs, clear tail lights. The rims have fresh paint and nearly new front tires and good rear tires.
Must be picked up at my home near Green Hill, about 10 miles north of Florence, Alabama. I do not deliver! SERIOUS INQUIRIES ONLY!
More pictures soon to come, after I have given it a proper bath!
I have listed everything to the best of my knowledge, but I could have missed something. I have too many cars, so I had to list one for sale, and I hadn't driven this one in a while, so it was the one to go. I encourage you to check it out for yourself before making a purchase.
