Mercedes Benz W194 re-creation of the very first prototype race car that represented Mercedes return to racing for the 1952 LeMans. This chassis runs and drives but will still need the body made. Comes with a 1 to 1 life size replica body buck made from MDF and original factory drawings to finish. . This is an accurate reproduction using genuine Mercedes 300 Sedan and 300S components modified to exacting standards and using factory archival drawings of the very first 300SL Gullwing. It has a very rare M188 300S high compression engine block modified to exact standards that the factory used on the first presentation car. Correct wool tartan for seats was made in Scotland. include correct W188 270mm headlights and W194 turn signal and tail lights as well as the original ME-109 Messerscmitt clock. This was put together with genuine NOS parts with some patina to represent the car as it would look had it survived. The original 0001/52 car was scrapped. Black and white photos are the original car taken in March of 1952. The photo with the elderly gentleman in the shot is an actual W194 mechanic that worked at the factory in 1952.
