Selling this fine example of a 1983 300D Turbo Diesel W123 Sedan. CA Smog Check Exemptforever. Runs on cheap diesel fuel. Great Running condition, no engine troubles at all, great suspension and steering, current 2018 CA registration. Brand new front brake calipers and pads. Nice interior. Seats and carpeting are all complete. Power Windows all work. New Window Switches. Ready for you to drive away. Fresh Tires. Super Bright Euro spec HID headlights, US DOT bumpers, clear corner lights, Chrome bundcake rims need some cleaning though. All original Zebrano wood trim is included. This car has always been in Southern California and Arizona, It has never been driven over salty snowy roads. Southern California only gets about 5 inches of rain per year on average. Most of it's lifetime has been in Los Angeles and Orange County. Only rust is on some upper body panels, possibly due to overnight moist air condensation. I have sanded and primed some of these spots just to prove that it can be easily treated. there is no underbody rust at all. In the midwest, your old cars will get rust on the rocker panels, this car has none of that. Sold in an as-is condition. It runs properly, steering, and suspension are in great condition, transmission and engine work properly has all safety features, and is registered and licensed for California right now. I put a lot of work and parts into it. the price has gone up!
This car has a regular CA licence plate with 2018 Tags, not a personalized plate. smog exempt forever, runs great. Not a project car. This car runs like a champ. You can drive it away. You can cruise the boulevards in it or you can let your teenager drive it. 3.0 Liter 5 Cylinder Turbo Diesel, decent interior, cracks on dashboard under a cover, a little rust on right front fender, Euro style H7 headlights, original Becker radio, Air Conditioner does not work has some kind of Freon or lack of issue. Power windows are working well, power door locks work well. fresh tires. New brake calipers. New upper and lower radiator hoses, new transmission cooler lines, new window switches. I installed a replacement climate control unit, and verified that the heater works now.
Paint is dull and flat, pictures do not show dullness, with a few spots of surface rust on the roof and hood, but they can be sanded off, and primed. No Rust on Rockers, see the picture. I will leave these as a pre-paint project for you. You may need a new paint job to complete the restoration of this car. I can include the original US DOT headlights, if you like them more..
