Car description

1984 Mercedes-Benz

300CD Turbodiesel Coupe

Exceptionally rare and highly sought after 1984 Mercedes-Benz 300CD Coupe. The 1984 model year of this W123 coupe means that it combines the bulletproof reliability of the OM617 iron head engine with a powerful turbocharger. Only Mercedes diesels produced in 1981 to 1985 offered this highly prized combination of reliability and performance. What makes this car even more desirable is that the coupe version is the scarcest of any of the W123 turbodiesel variants. Produced in extremely limited numbers from 1982 to 1985, this car is particularly collectable.

Always meticulously maintained, it starts instantly at the turn of the key with absolutely no shaking or smoke. The 3.0 L Inline 5 turbodiesel engine runs incredibly strong and smooth with virtually no blowback whatsoever. The steering and suspension are tight, with no rattles or vibration. The brakes are strong and quiet. This coupe is fresh from an extensive service including:

· Fresh Shell Rotella Diesel Oil Change and Filter

· New Primary and Secondary Fuel Filters

· New Battery

· New Tires

· New Engine Mounts

Everything on this coupe works without exception aside from the fuel gauge, clock, and some of the lights within the instrument cluster. The instrument cluster has not been replaced so as to to preserve the original and untampered odometer, displaying the incredibly low mileage of this car. Additionally, the air conditioning will need a recharge in order to blow cold, the radio could benefit from an update, and the cruise control works intermittently. Aside from these items, this Turbodiesel coupe is turn-key ready, extremely safe and reliable and an absolute blast from the past to drive!

Although in overall great condition, this is a vintage car and will naturally show signs of use and age. The underbody is dry and completely rust-free. At some point the car was repainted in its original Brilliantrot Metallic paint color. Please refer to the several pictures that I have of the car below. This car smells clean on the inside and there are no leaks anywhere including the sunroof.

This very rare and exceptionally well-maintained Mercedes-Benz W123 Turbodiesel Coupe represents an exceptional investment; because of its scarcity and desirability, experts agree that these W123 Turbodiesel Coupes are sure to significantly appreciate in value in the coming years.

This car is being sold AS IS with no warranty of any kind stated or implied. This is a vintage vehicle and there may be items that require servicing, repair and/or replacement. Such items may not be explicitly stated in this listing or known to the seller. It is the buyer's responsibility to inspect the vehicle and fully satisfy him/herself of the overall condition before bidding or purchasing it. Please ask any and all questions that you have before placing a bid. Test drives and in-person inspections are welcomed and encouraged, but must completed prior to the end of the auction. This is a No Reserve auction meaning that the car will sell to the highest bidder. However, I am open to all reasonable offers prior to the close of the auction so it is suggested not to wait before placing a bid. A $500 nonrefundable deposit is due at the close of the auction through PayPal and must be received no later than 24 hours after the auction's end. The remaining balance is due within three (3) days without exception via bank wire, bank check, or cash. I am happy to hold the car for up to three weeks after final payment is received should the winner require additional time to pick-up/ship the car. Thank you for looking!
