Introduced in 1979 the W126 Chassis by Mercedes Benz would prove to be long lived. Production did not stop until 1991 making it the second longest running "S" Class production. The cars were built in a 6-cylinder 8-cylinder and Diesel configurations and the Models were based on what engine the car had. The W126 was innovative in safety and technology and was the absolute top-of-the line automobile at the time. This particular 500 SEC is special because its first owner Daniel Fouts from the ...Sand Diego Chargers purchased this 500 brand new. Dan is known as one of the most prolific passing quarterbacks during the 70's and 80's. In addition to having stardom behind its name the 500 SEC does not need much introduction as this was the car everyone yearned for. It had the best lines and best performance out of all the W126 cars in my opinion. This comes out of long term second ownership with a lot of early service history and paperwork including dealer maintenance records included in original owners manuals and books. The car is not perfect but a very good driver. The interior is nice as is the paint. It appears that the hood has been painted but the rest of the car appears to be original. A set of four Ronal Wheels comes with the purchase. To see over 80 photos of this car including under carriage please visit our website
