Car description |

This Mercedes wagon is my second MB, and the one with which I've had the best luck. It does not currently run, but I believe it's the fuel-pump and a replacement is included. (If you don't know, the pump acts as the distributor, so you set the replacement by the old one)The powertrain is in excellent shape, but the body is about a 5.5-6 on a 1-10 scale. If you like working on cars and know how to repair two patches of rust in the rear cargo area, this could be a great vehicle for you.The interior is rough, but basically complete. (see below)If your bodyworking skills are like mine, and you know where to find a really good body, you'd still get a great powertrain, plus extra parts.
What extra parts?Installed:Headlights with a bi-xenon HID kit, taillights and turn-signals (front and back) with new bulbs. power-window switches, multi-control on left of steering column, new filters (air, fuel), new battery, power-antenna (doesn't work due to wiring problem, but it's the real deal), a replacement grille and headlight fascia, new tires, plus other other items which have slipped my mind.
Included, but not installed:New steering-damper, either five or six litres of the specific transmission fluid it takes and a filter, interior trim for ceiling at front and back, replacement dash vents, a new dash-cover (the hard sort, not a fuzzy rug), the aforementioned fuel-pump and whatever parts I can round up. (I may be able to find 2-3 metres of cloth-covered vacuum hose, the hood-ornament and two other AT filter kits which I know I have, but not the locations.)
I've thought long and hard about this sale, but I need the driveway space. I will miss this vehicle.
