This blue 1983 classic diesel Benz was purchased as a project vehicle and possible vegetable oil conversion. Since I bought it a year ago. I've done absolutely nothing to it and am thinking I'd like to have the space back in my driveway. Best laid plans. Here's what I know: The car was previously owned by a doctor in High Point. North Carolina. When he purchased it sometime in the 1990s. the vehicle had a certified salvage rebuilt title (red. not blue. if you're familiar with NC titles). The car was in excellent running condition at that time and he drove it for several years and reported having no problems with it. In the early 2000s. he sold it to a collector in Greensboro who apparently did nothing with it and whose estate was auctioned off in 2013. at which point the Mercedes and several other vehicles were sold. It appears to be complete with all major and 99% of the cosmetic parts. The body is in good shape with the exception of a dented rear door. The engine is dirty. but looks to be all there. I have the key but no battery and have never attempted to clean/start the vehicle. The interior and trunk are very musty and I would certainly get replace all the upholstery if I were actually going to do anything with the car. I would love to see someone with more motivation do what I never managed to do -- conversely there are over $1000 worth of decent parts here. You are more than welcome to view the car in person in Durham. North Carolina. Thanks for looking. FREE! Sellers: Add a FREE map to your listings. FREE!
