West Coast Classics are proud to present an absolutely exceptional example of this extremely rare and unrestored mostly all original survivor, apart from one repaint in its original factory 'Silver Gray' (MB code 180) color paint, of a long time southern California owner W888-778-3751 Mercedes-Benz 300 SEL 6,334cc 6.3 300HP V8 M100 fuel injection sedan with it's original M100 engine with a low but undocumented 48K original miles, its original tools, rare factory air conditioning and power steer...ing and disc brakes and original black leather interior! This was the first regular Mercedes model to use the massive 6.3 liter V8 and was the incredibly fast 300SEL 6.3 sedan of 1968, the fastest production sedan in the world at the time.
This particular example has been repainted once in its original 'Silver Gray' color and is in very fine condition throughout. The original 'Black' leather interior is in simply stunning condition for its age, as is the 'Rosewood' burled walnut, the original carpets with factory Coco mats, all the original gauges, knobs and dials are all in a virtual time warp and there are no signs of any damage from the elements. Please note that one of the sliding heater/air conditioning controls has a broken plastic lever and there is some very minor cracking in some areas the of the wood veneers on the dash. The car boasts its original factory 'Becker Grand Prix AM/FM radio, power steering and original working factory BEHR air conditioning and this rust and accident free example would prove a worthy classic addition to any serious collection.
We only recently acquired the car from the estate of a long time southern California owner who owned the car for over 30 years and who had originally purchased the car from its original southern California owner, who had in turn purchased the car brand new from 'Fletcher Jones Mercedes-Benz' of Newport Beach, CA. The car's second owner also lived in the same area and both owners were meticulous
