1986 Mercedes-Benz 300SDL

Selling my 1986 Mercedes 300SDL. Six Cylinder Turbo Diesel! 193. 00 miles. Car consistently averages 28-30 MPG from March thru November and in winter I get 25 MPG. Was a Florida car and the UV light has affected the clear coat. Body is straight and has no rust. There are a few chips on the front from highway driving which is normal. There is one dent in the rear driver's side door. I backed out of my garage when the rear door was open and stopped a bit too late. Interior is in clean to mint condition. Driver's seat shows very minimal wear on the side from getting in and out. Other seats are excellent. Dash is NOT cracked and all wood is nice. All leather is in excellent condition. no rips. Everything works. AC works great and blows cold. Oil changed every 3. 00-4. 00 miles. See picture of inside the sunroof area and you will see NO RUST. Installed a new transmission at 159. 00 with a FACTORY Mercedes transmission ($5. 00). Also just replaced the climate control push button assembly ($1. 00). Car has been garaged under my ownership (purchased in Feb 2012). I also just replaced both fuel filters. air filter. and did oil/filter change. BRAND NEW MATCHING TIRES all around and front end alignment!If you are reading this you probably know that these big body diesel cars were only made in 1986 and 1987 so they are very rare. You would also know that is is extremely difficult to find one where the body. interior. and mechanicals are ALL good at the same time. You would also know that the main issues on these cars is the transmission and climate control and both have been addressed properly. This was Mercedes flagship car. Super ride and very quiet inside and the motor is very quiet as well. The body style is timeless and people often guess it is a 2000's car. I have owned approx 13 Mercedes diesels since high school (my daily driver is a '83 240D) and know these cars very very well. I am NOT a dealer. just someone who enjoys these cars. My wife finally got her wish of driving a newer SUV and we own five vehicles for two drivers which is why we are selling this car.
