Car description

You are bidding on a great running 1989 Mercedes Benz 560 SL. This is a California car with absolutely no rust and an original 117k. The original owner was a doctor who purchased the car new. It was his baby which he drove only on the weekends. He passed a few years ago and the family kept it for sentimental reasons until it was sold to me in April. It had sat in a garage for the past 5 years. I have had all major gaskets changed - including rear main seal gasket for the transmission. Transmission was flushed and serviced. Oil has been changed and is good for 5-7000 miles. The engine runs superbly with no smoking or leaks. It is very strong. Lots of passing power and does quite well on the highway. The tires are in great condition with lots of tread remaining. The paint is in excellent condition. The family stated that their father had the paint refreshed prior to his passing. The car has never been in an accident and all panels are straight with no dents, dings or scratches. The interior is overall in good condition. The seats and carpet are clean and stain free. There is some wear on the driver's seat (pictured) which is the only real issue with the interior. Additionally, the passenger-side sun visor needs to be tightened/replaced as it will come down on it's own while driving. - not necessarily worth the trouble to fix, but worth mentioning. The top comes on and off without issue.

Issues to address: The A/C needs to be recharged. I didn't want to change to R134 freon for those buyers interested in attempting to keep the car as original as possible. The Becker radio doesn't work. it has power but doesn't produce sound. Again, I didn't want to change due to originality. The adhesive on the rear wall of the trunk carpet needs to be refreshed (pictured) as it has begun to peel.

Passenger side front corner light has been cracked (pictured.)

Mechanically, the car is in great shape. It runs and shifts without issue. All power options function properly. The transmission shifts 100%.
