Always meticulously maintained, this 450SL starts instantly at the turn of the key with absolutely no shaking or smoke. The 4.5 L V8 engine runs incredibly strong and smooth. The suspension is tight, with no rattles or vibration. The brakes are firm and grip evenly. The automatic transmission shifts crisply into and out of each gear. The steering exhibits some play, but is not bad at all considering the age of the vehicle. All services are up-to-date including new Goodyear tires all the way around, a recent oil and filter change, new starter and new battery. Comes complete with original hardtop, stand and factory manuals.

Everything on this SL works without exception aside from the climate control system, the radio antenna, which is broken, and the locks, which must be operated manually. The air conditioning was blowing cold immediately prior to the challenge with the operation of the system. Aside from these few items, this Roadster is turn-key ready, extremely safe and reliable, and an absolute blast from the past to drive!

Although in overall great condition, this is a vintage car and will naturally show signs of use and age. Please refer to the more than 100 pictures that I have of the car below.

This car is being sold AS IS with no warranty of any kind stated or implied. Please ask any and all questions that you have before placing a bid. Test drives and in-person inspections are welcomed and encouraged, but must completed prior to the end of the auction. This is a No Reserveauction meaning that the car will sell to the highest bidder. However, I am open to all reasonable offers prior to the close of the auction so it is suggested not to wait before placing a bid. A $1,000 nonrefundable deposit is due at the close of the auction through PayPal and must be received no later than 24 hours after the auction's end. The remaining balance is due within three (3) days without exception via bank wire, bank check, or cash. I am happy to hold the car for up to three weeks after final payment is received should the winner require additional time to pick-up/ship the car.
