1979 Mercedes-Benz 240D, 4 spd. manual transmission, has been converted to alternatively run on waste vegetable oil (well designed trouble-free 2 tank system-~$900 in parts alone to convert). Good solid car for it's age, rust starting around wheel wells, jack points are in good condition. Slowest car on the planet. IMO could be restored. I was using it as a daily driver. Runs fine, these things are hard to kill, although it is hard to start in the winter. I have been doing the veggie-oil thing for the last 15 years. Other cars/equipment available. I am getting old and going electric.
