FINAL YEAR 560SL
If you have been looking for a nice, clean, affordable 1989 560SL that is still a nice car. I would strongly consider this car. This 2 owner car is original paint and interior and has had a no expense spared life. The car has everyreceipt foreverything that wasever done to the car, from a oil change to a tail light bulb. At 77k miles, Mercedes replaced the enginedue to atiming chain guide failure. So, basically, the engine has 50k miles on it. The transmission was rebuild at 109k miles and that is documented as well.
The paint on the car is as nice as it can be for being 27 years old, shines up well, with no major scratches, ect. This is what I believe to be the original paint based upon paint thickness. All VIN stickers are in place on all panels, sans the front bumper. A review of the records on the carindicate that the original owner bumped someone from behind 20 some years ago and Mercedes replaced the front bumper, no big deal, not as if the car was seriously injured or anything. The title is clean and clear. Carfax and Autocheck are good as well with nice, linearaggregation of miles. The records speak volumes though, literally. This car has a perfect crack free dash and very presentable veneers. A aftermarket blue tooth radio was installed by the 2nd owner. I have no idea the whereabouts of the original Becker. The spare is inplace, as well as the tool kit, this is the best documented 560SL I haveeverseen. The records are more complete than that of a airplane. Every light, signal, cruise, A/Cetc, works great. The interior shows very well for the cars age. The top convertible top is very nice with clear windows, exhibits one very small hard to detect repair that would not photograph. The caris very tight driving and needs nothing. Includes $500 hard top rolling stand. Will disassemble and put hard top on for shipping.
Both tops are in great shape. The car leaks no fluids, does not smoke or shake, stops, shifts as it should. Just a great all around car for the money.
The things done to the car in the last 12 months:4/17/16 Replace drivers window motor and complete exhaust includingcatalytic convertors5/16/16 Replace battery and window washer tank9/15/16 Replaceconvertible top9/16/16 Replace all rubber seals on car ($2,000)10/14/16 Replace Power Steering Pump and hoses11/2/16 Replacevoltage protection relay11/16/16 Replace battery cables1/4/17 Replace fuel pump2/3/17 Service A/C system, replace compressor3/1/17 5 newtires4/1/17 replace 4 shocks4/16/17 replace upper and lower control arms5/1/17 4 wheel computer alignment5/14/17 replace radiator
Yes, this is for real, obviously the second owner took the car to the dealership about every 2 weeks for $1,000 worth of work. Insane, but its all here in black and white
This car is for sale locally and auction can and will be ended in the event of a local sale. I can assist with shipping insofar isthat is what I do for a living.
