    1965 MERCEDES BENZ 230 SL ROADSTER --Orient Red with Natural interior, Beige German square weave carpeting, Tan convertible top and Orient Red optional hard top, 2.3L overhead-cam fuel injected inline 6-cylinder engine, 4-speed manual transmission, Factory Becker radio, European headlamps, Excellent condition. The Mercedes-Benz W 113 is a two-seat roadster / coupe introduced at the 1963 Geneva Motor Show and produced from 1963 through 1971. These cars had a distinctive, patented, slightly co...ncave hardtop, which inspired the "Pagoda" nickname. All models were equipped with an inline-six cylinder engine with multi-port fuel injection. The bonnet, trunk lid, door skins were made of aluminum to reduce weight. Production of the 230 SL commenced in June 1963 and ended on 5 January 1967. This 230 SL has been collector owned and cared for and only used seasonally and never in inclement weather conditions. In its most recent ownership, the owner has enjoy countless, hassle free miles. The paint is in excellent condition, the chassis-structure is rust free and it has recently received a new interior. Recently $6,000.00 (receipts and records for all) was spent with servicing of the following: New brake booster, Brake master, Wheel cylinders, Signal switch, Front crank oil seal, Full exhaust system and misc. small items. Cosmetically both hard and soft top are in good condition and the exterior chrome and brightwork is in extremely good condition. On a recent road test, this 230 SL was found to be excellent and proper in all areas and working as one would expect from a properly serviced and maintained Pagoda. It has excellent power, shifts very well, all gauges, switches, knobs work as they should and it cruises the way Mercedes intended it to. This 230 SL is ready for immediate use and enjoyment.
