Hello. You are viewing my 1982 Mercedes W123 240D with 260,000 miles on it. If you know these cars, they last forever (if properly maintained). Have had this car for over two years and it’s served me well. It’s a four-speed manual and the motor/clutch/transmission are in great shape (per my master Mercedes-Benz mechanic).
First the good: it’s incredibly reliable, always starts, and you can’t believe it’s a 35 year old car. Get over 30 miles per gallon. Goes 70-75 on the highway. Pulls strong. Alignment is good. And have maintained it well. Drive this with confidence at all times. Has never overheated while I owned it. .
Here is the maintenance (with receipts) - probably $3K in repairs
Replaced glow plugs and wires
Suspension (front/back): shocks, control arms, bushings
New starter
Upgraded the headlights
Front window regulators replaced
Full Exhaust replacement
Valve Adjustment
Diesel purge
Brakes (front/back) - pads, rebuilt one caliper
Tires (80-85% tread left)
Replaced grill that looked rough.
Clutch Master Cylinder and Slave Cylinder
Gearbox replaced (used part)
Oil changes (every 5K)
Mechanically it is very sound.
The not so good - I never got to fixing it cosmetically: the interior is fair (see pictures), wasn't able to get the A/C to work, no radio, when it rains water forms in the trunk (will include $50 seal I never got around to installing), rear windows don't work that well, small oil/fuel leak (normal for a classic car). I have some of the interior parts for you tI will throw in.
I am selling the car because I drive clients for work and need to have a more modern wehicle. This is an amazing vehicle and will last you a long time if you maintain it.
The car is sold "as-is" and there is no warranty implied or explicit. If you'd like someone to look at it, I will do my best to make the car available. Buyer is responsible for transportation and pickup.
Please let me know if you have any questions. This is a great car!
