Car description |

I bought this beautiful Mercedes Coupe over 2 years ago on eBay, from a New Jersey Dealer & only drove it on nice days... I couldn't get over how handsome & timeless the body style was and how solid the body was with original paint still.... The V-12 badging is just for "show" and these V-8 versions were much better handling than the V12's are without the headaches of high maintenance costs.
I'm selling this beautiful Mercedes because I'm knee deep in caring for my dying dad who's 83 and I've got to sell stuff while I care for him. I have several other cars & this one was rarely used, so I have to realistically "thin the herd" as my dad says.....
I have priced this very fairly with a low reserve and want it to go to a good home. These cars are very special to own & drive & are a testimony to the unsurpassed Mercedes Build Quality of the 1990's. The MSRP on this car was $99,800 dollars when new.... I own it for close to $9000.
Rear Brakes & Rotors were recently replaced as were Rear Hydraulic Shocks with a good used pair from California that I got on eBay. The dealer I bought it from replaced the Engine Wiring Harness because it was original & these particular Mercedes needing it replaced. I had the engine oil pan gasket replaced and transmission fluid changed & valve body serviced.
When I bought the car there were 7 previous owners, I make it 8 and I sold it to our Trust, so eBay's history based on VIN shows 9 owners, when it's really 8.
I feel this vehicle has been a "toy" that each enjoyed, as have I & then pass it on to someone else to enjoy to.... Each having cared for it in their own special ways, and not having ANY accidents.
The interior leather is very nice and the heated leather seats are extremely rugged and very comfortable. The detail & craftsmanship of these W140 models is incredible.
The only "rust" on the body is on driver's side front fender, where the lower trim molding comes together with fender..... You can barely see it in these photos its so small.... Nothing major to fix and that's IT on the whole body...!
The lower front bumper cover near driver's side fog lamp was partially cracked and I repaired it with a soldering iron, melting it back together and adding JB Weld, on the outside & inside, without sanding and paint prep. That's it for "body trim" items...
Sometimes the SRS light goes on & off and I was told it is seat belt micro switches needing cleaning with compressed air. Again, nothing major. All gauges work, AC may need a charge. Tires are Dunlop 18 inch on original Mercedes Sport Rims in nice shape. Exhaust, chassis & undercarriage are very clean. I have the plastic headlight cover behind the driver's headlight as seen in the engine bay picture, so it will be there when you get the vehicle. I had previously adjusted the driver's headlight for a sticker and hadn't put it back in these photos.
NH doesn't require titles on vehicles 10-15 years old and it isn't an antique quite yet, so I have a current, legally transferable NH registration which is valid with Bill of Sale. If needed I can pay $15 and request from NH DMV a "certified registration copy" which is good in all states for sales transfers to states that require titles. I've been thru this before, it's not a problem. I'll provide all the paperwork needed.
$500 deposit is required thru Paypay if you win with Buy It Now, or if I accept your Make An offer Price, and balance is due 5 days after auction close, in Cash or Wire Transfer to Bank. No Checks. Buyer is responsible for pickup or transporting. I can easily bring car to large gas station where tractor trailer services are located near zip code 03256. Thanks for Bidding...
